I've been musing about the many horse images that show up in my work. Horses show up most often in my line drawings, which are created by placing an ink pen to paper and just drawing, allowing the images to guide me through the work. These drawings are whimsical, fanciful, with many odd animals and people interacting. My horses appear as winged or one-winged, in flight without wings, as seahorses, as mer-horses, and just as often, as themselves--beautiful, graceful horses.
